COVID-19 Updates + Wedding Policy Reminders
Dear RVA Couples,
I hope and pray that you are doing well during this overwhelming and uncertain time in life. For a lot of you, the coronavirus pandemic may have modified your wedding plans. You can rest assured that I will do everything I can to overcome these hurdles with you and capture the wedding of your dreams, even if it is a new dream.
Aaron Jay Photography has been capturing the moments that can never be repeated for over 10 years now. This first decade of my business has taught me to be flexible, empathetic, and the importance of providing more than just quality photos. I am here for you, your loved one, and anyone else who is helping you plan your wedding.
My fiancé and I are currently planning our own wedding for October 2021, so I truly know what you’re going through. The wedding planning process can be both exciting and challenging, and we will get through it together.
Please review these important COVID-19 updates and policies, and call me if you need further assistance. Take care of yourselves and each other. And … Spread love, not germs!
Cancellations + Postponements
2020-21 has been a rollercoaster! Everything is a bit up in the air right now when it comes to events and figuring out when certain restrictions may be lifted. Some venues may be cancelling events due to the number of people attending or putting restrictions on the amount of guests allowed.
In the case that your wedding is cancelled or postponed please note that all deposits are non-refundable. As much as I wish this wasn’t the case, as a small-business owner who relies on this income to support my family, refunds will not be given per your contract.
However, you are more than welcome to use your deposit towards a new available date. Your wedding rate will be locked in and no additional charges will be added. If you postpone and I am not available for the new wedding date, then I will be happy to connect you with one of my trusted colleagues in Richmond. If I am all booked or unavailable, no refunds will be given, but you can use your deposit as a credit towards any photo services or products with AJP. It’s also worth mentioning that if you’ve purchased wedding insurance some policies will be able to help with money lost due to a cancellation.
I work hard to get my AJP couples rescheduled to new dates if needed and have plenty of availability in 2021-22.
In the unlikely event that I am sick and unable to attend your wedding, then I will hire trusted photographers in my RVA network to fill in for me.
Alternatively if you have an engagement session scheduled and don’t feel well or comfortable with keeping your appointment, please reach out to me as soon as possible so we can reschedule your session.
I know this is hard and stressful, and I hope that none of your plans are impacted. This still is an exciting time in your lives and I hope that y’all are able to enjoy the planning process!
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Aaron.
